Boarding at Oakwood is a great experience. You are constantly emerged in the process of learning to live with, and ride horses. We have boarded horses for friends and acquaintances for many years and have regularly been asked to expand our facility for their friends and acquaintances. We, of course, reserve the right, as a private facility, to select those with whom we share our farm, but are always interested in expanding our acquaintances with those who love horses as we do. Private boarding at Oakwood starts at $875.00* a month for a 10 x 10 stall. Oakwood offers a variety of stall sizes up to 12 x 14 with Dutch Doors and windows. You choose the amenities that you and your horse desire. The following services are included in your fees:
Stalls are mucked daily and new chips added.
Water is changed every morning and afternoon
Morning and afternoon feeding
Eight hour grass turn daily at 7:30 AM, after feeding
Horses brought back in at 3:30 PM.
We feed Nutrena 14/10 Vitality.
Hay is a mix of grass and alfalfa.
Stalls are stripped every week
Optional fly mask or blanket/sheet put on and taken off every day with no extra charge.
Supplements given with feeding free of charge
Owner conversant in veterinary care. Our vet Dr. Rachel A. Kane is also on call at Oakwood, including emergency calls. Owner and trainer live on property.
Our pasture board is $475.00 a month. This includes:
Morning and afternoon hay and water
Night time shelter by a large run in containing no stalls
There is a $30.00 per month trailer parking fee. There are also additional services available privately upon request by boarders. If we do not have any space available, we will be happy to put your name on awaiting list and call you when a space is open for you and your horse/horses. We occasionally have several wonderful horses available for sale or Share Board. These great horses usually don't last long!
